News In Brief, Nownibnow by ravenso

How nibnow works

Where the news comes from

nibnow reads the public feeds of established Indian and world publishers, government bodies and regulators, and a separate set of regional outlets for each state. It does not write its own reporting. Every brief names its source and links to the original story.

How fresh it is

Feeds are checked every 15 minutes. Stories are ordered by when the publisher released them, with the most significant developing stories lifted into Breaking News. Stories older than two days are dropped.

What a brief is

A brief is a short, original-words summary of a publisher's own excerpt: what happened, why it matters, what to watch. Where an AI provider is available it helps with the wording, so a summary can contain mistakes. Check the linked source before you rely on anything. nibnow is not the publisher of the underlying reporting.

Official alerts

Severe-weather and disaster warnings from India's official agencies, such as NDMA, appear in the bell and as optional notifications, and link to the issuing agency.

Cost and privacy

nibnow is free and shows no ads. Reading needs no account. If you do sign up we keep only what the service needs; see the privacy policy.
