Supreme Industries saw its stock fall 4 percent after cutting its full year volume growth guidance to 10 percent, down from previous projections, primarily driven by a lowered outlook for its plastic piping division.
In an interaction with CNBC-TV18, the company's Chairman & Managing Director MP Taparia said that the overall volume growth now for the full year will be 10%. For the plastic piping division, Taparia sees volume growth of 13%, compared to the 15% to 17% projected earlier.
Companies regularly issue volume growth guidance to help investors understand their expected operational performance and demand trends. Reductions in these forecasts often signal slower market demand or operational headwinds, leading to immediate stock price adjustments.
