The brand’s effort to replace single‑use plastic bottles with aluminium and to fund ocean clean‑up could help reduce the millions of plastic bottles that end up in the environment.
Jason Momoa has established a Hawaiian water company aimed at reducing reliance on single-use plastics. The brand initially utilized aluminum containers and implemented a specific initiative where purchasing a bottle funded the removal of another from the ocean. Following reports that the program had successfully extracted over six million plastic bottles, the enterprise expanded its operations. They recently introduced specialized machines for hotel use. These devices are designed to refill containers, with a capacity to process up to five hundred bottles per hour, further supporting the broader goal of challenging the conventional bottled water industry.
Single‑use plastic bottles are a major source of marine pollution, and initiatives like “buy one, remove one” aim to offset consumption by financing the collection and removal of existing plastic waste.
