India’s Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia announced ambitious goals for the nation's telecommunications sector. He stated that the country currently supports 550 million 5G subscribers and intends to expand this network to reach one billion users by the year 2030. Furthermore, India is positioning itself to take a leading global role in the development of 6G technology. This strategic push is backed by the Bharat 6G Alliance, which now includes 90 participating institutions. The alliance has accumulated a total of 7,700 patents, with 4,400 of those recognized internationally, demonstrating significant progress in the country's technological infrastructure and research capabilities.
