India is on the verge of becoming the first cricket team to reach 200 wins in T20 Internationals, a milestone that highlights its sustained success in the format.
India has officially entered the exclusive 300-match T20I club, becoming the second national team to reach this milestone after Pakistan. This achievement occurred during their second fixture against New Zealand. The team currently holds a record of 199 victories from their first 299 completed games. Consequently, they are positioned to make history by securing their 200th outright win in the shortest format of international cricket. No other side has yet achieved this specific victory threshold, making India’s current campaign a significant statistical moment in the sport’s recent history.
A T20 International (T20I) is a 20‑over per side cricket match between national teams; reaching 300 matches played and accumulating wins are key indicators of a team's experience and performance history.
