This four-month employment scheme aims to support workers facing potential drought conditions and low water supplies in Telangana. The initiative also includes provisions for monitoring water supplies and providing cattle fodder.
Telangana leader Revanth Reddy has revealed plans for a new four-month job program designed to assist laborers following the Sankranti festival. This initiative comes in response to severe weather worries involving El Nino conditions and potential long-term dry spells that threaten the region. Current reports indicate that local reservoirs have dropped to dangerously low levels, and numerous agricultural water pumps are no longer functioning. To combat these mounting agricultural difficulties, regional authorities intend to closely track water availability, distribute animal feed, secure drinking water sources, and generate extra labor opportunities for affected residents.
